Emergency at Constructor HQ!

We have a blockage!

This morning, an angry mob gathered outside Constructor Town Hall.

Fed up with constant delays and explosions…they want answers!

After 18 rounds of Rock, Paper, Scissors a representative from the
Council was thrust through the doors to meet the irate public.

An unlikely looking spokesman of the unruly crowd pushed his way
to the front to voice his frustration…

On a more serious note, we at System 3 have to apologise for the late running of Constructor.

We’ve all been working hard on this project for a number of years now…the finishing line is in sight, so we are not going to rush this game out…we want to get it right.

As the game has progressed, new ideas have been added to enrich the gameplay…these new ideas inevitably lead to delays. But rest assured, the team has been working hard on fantastic new updates that will greatly enhance the already classic gameplay we all know and love.

Constructor always had a reputation of being one TOUGH game! So for Constructor we have added a great new Tutorial mode to help the player with the complexities of the game. In addition, there is also a comprehensive in-game manual to aide those brain-fade moments! Plus, we’ve also added a cool LEVEL DESIGNER mode, which enhances many aspects of game-play, especially online/multi-player games. On the audio side, the guys have been busy recording amazing voice overs provided by a PROPER geezer! I’d love to tell you more…but I’d end up in concrete boots if I did!

The formats the game will be released on will be PS4, Xbox One and Steam(PC).

We know this will be a big disappointment for fans of the game…it’s a big disappointment for us as well. But we are committed to producing this game to the best of our abilities and we want to release a game that’s worthy of the Constructor name.

Thanks for your understanding and we will be back with more announcements soon.

I believe that the team at System 3 will create a game that isn’t buggy, that’s enjoyable for fans both old and new, add new ingenious features to the game that was never done before. It’ll be System 3’s best selling game to date and will help put this company back on the map again.

I’ve played Constructor & Mob Rule, Both games are amazing for their time and still hold their stuff to date. I feel that combining certain features of both games would help sky rocket it to success.

I played Constructor on the PlayStation 1 for the first time when I was a kid at 11 years old, I seen the game in Blockbuster and took the chance to rent it because it was different and new. I rented it and played it and I enjoyed it, sadly it was only for a few days and I never gotten to complete the game. I forgotten what the title of it was and I never seen it again for many years, I then seen a big box version of the game in Dixons but sadly I didn’t have enough to buy it, So much time had past years went by and I simply forgotten about the game. I went on about the gameplay for years, I could never remember the name of it and it simply got buried in the past. It wasn’t until I was 16 that someone bought the game on PS1 for me and with a constructor branded memory card! I was over the moon! I played it for 48 hours straight I was determinated I could do it and with luck I managed to complete the game. I replayed it again and again and again, I figured out the patterns in the movements of the CPU players, I knew how to avoid comebacks by the CPU, what they were going to do next and how to wipe out the CPU with 1 move and they’d continue to try and rebuild again and again. I mastered Constructor.

Moving onto Mob Rule, I found it on a Wikipedia page about the successor to Constructor out of the two games Constructor was more difficult and harder to complete. Mob Rule added more features like more undesirables, different types of buildings, upgrade houses, use hobo’s to bump up rents but also attracts the police raid levels, more weapons for gangsters plus it had the end level as a replayable sandbox mode map. The gameplay was fun and the difficultly was very low compared to constructor but the missions, the levels and the extra stuff made up for it. It’s a very underrated game and features from it should be imported to Constructor after all isn’t gangsters one of Constructors Trademark things?.

I still play both today and they are still amazing to play although I’ve never played vs any players before or played online so having those experience’s would just add to the enjoyment and having on going side missions for all multiplayer players to compete against each other for white marks would be amazing.

I doubt the original creator will let any of us down and I feel System 3 is most likely going to make this game the best building simulation game out there.

“A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.” – Shigeru Miyamoto

I’m glad you are delaying it, and I can’t wait for it to be polished with multiplayer and a level editor. It sounds like it will be the best version of constructor yet. Please keep all of us up to date with Constructor. Thank you!
